Dr. Christy Tran, Pediatric Specialist

Dr. Christy Tran is originally from the suburbs of Los Angeles. She fell in love with the Bay Area when she attended UC Berkeley, where she earned a double major in Integrative Biology and Public Health. Life took her to hot and dry Glendale, Arizona, for dental school at Midwestern University. There, she held multiple leadership positions, including president of both the American Student Dental Association and the National Student Research Group. She was fortunate enough to participate in an international mission trip to provide dental care for the people of the Kingdom of Tonga in the Polynesian Islands, where her passion for working with children grew.

Dr. Tran completed a community clinic and hospital-based residency in Columbia, MO. There, she participated in a fellowship program with the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program, where she honed her skills in working with children with special health care needs. Dr. Tran is excited to be back in the Bay Area and strives to create a positive, fulfilling, and enjoyable environment for every child and their families. Her goal is to make every visit to the dentist fun and never scary!

Outside of work, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her fiancé Ian, a pediatric occupational therapist who shares her love of working with children. They’re kept busy with wedding planning and their energetic Westie Terrier, Scout, who loves playing at the dog park. Dr. Tran is an aspiring chef who loves to try every new recipe she can find. She also enjoys traveling, and her dream is to visit every continent in the world.
